DP Incident Investigations

APREMAR TN offer to carry out DP Incident Reporting and Analysis. These investigations facilitate the sharing of information on potential hazards at the worksite and lessons learnt from follow-up investigations, thereby helping the vessel owner and the marine industry to avoid repeat occurrences.

DP incident – loss of automatic control, loss of position or any incident which has resulted in or should have resulted in a red alert
DP undesired event – loss of position or another event which is unexpected /uncontrolled and has resulted in or should have resulted in a yellow alert
DP downtime – position keeping problem or loss of redundancy which would not warrant either a red or yellow alert, however loss of confidence has resulted in a stand down from operational status for investigation, rectifications, trials etc.
APREMAR TN work on specific vessels or facilities, multiple vessels and full fleets of vessels anywhere in the world to provide DP Incident Investigations.

DP Operations Manuals

DP Operations Manual provides guidance on the DP control system, DP system, DP operations and DP procedures. APREMAR TN DP Operations Manual are designed to assist in the safe planning, preparation and performance of DP operations carried out on board vessels.

The DP Operation Manual and its checklists are intended to improve the vessel’s safety during DP operations and to help the vessels crew and their owners to establish good DP operational procedures, functions and practice on board the vessel.

The vessels master can, if necessary for DP operation overrule the procedures, DP checklists and the text with in this DP Operations Manual. The DP Operations Manual is intended as a guide for best practice of DP operations if no other guide is provided by the ship owner.
